Healthy Homemade Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup superfine almond flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 large eggs , room temperature
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (70% cacao or higher)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the almond flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda until no lumps remain.
  • In a separate large bowl, whisk the eggs, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients using a spatula until just combined.
  • Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before slicing into 12 squares.
